Today reminded me why I am alive. I’m simply living a dream! I got to spend time with my elderly friends at Wood Manor. I was able to chat with Jerry Springer (oh yeah that is his name). The first time I met him he was literally in his room watching the show.
Recently I volunteered to be apart of a public relations committee for the Youth Shelter of Claremore. I love being around new people and serving this community. Afterwards I hooked up with my buddy Nick at Java Dave’s to check out websites. I got to meet the manager and she has now considered my a regular customer. I jumped from one coffee house to the next as I spent time with one of my closest friends Brian for a great conversation about rethinking church. It’s always nice to slip in a 4 mile jog in the mix even if the wind nearly knocks you over.
Now I’m at home enjoying the fam and about to eat dinner and play the Lost n Found Clifford game. If you have a toddler they’ll love it. Camden has learned how to use a mouse on a laptop!
Why am I livin a dream? Relationships and Serving. I just want to fall in love with Christ more and fall in love with my family and friends more. If I can serve someone in the process than I fulfilled my mantra – “live each day like it’s my last“. I can honestly say I’ve never felt more closer to Christ than when I’m serving another with no strings attached.
