WELCOME TO MY BLOG (A Brief Introduction)
Hi. I’m Ricky the “Fit Pastor Guy”. On this blog, I share my reflections on faith, fitness, family, leadership, and occasionally on random topics that don’t fit nicely into any of these categories, mostly for those looking to get fit from a Biblical perspective. If you work in a small business or non-profit organization, you’ll find the information here helpful, too.
After graduating from Southwestern A/G University in 2001, I worked on staff with multiple churches. In 2005 my life radically changed as I left the church bubble and entered into the fitness & health industry. Over the course of the next 5 years I went on to lose over 80 pounds, became a two-time Ironman finisher, and gained multiple coaching certifications.
Today, I serve as the founder and executive director of Fit Pastors.
I’ve been married to my wife AKA “Steady Stream of Stability”Amy for 13 years and we have three children…..
Camden, Cale, and Ainsley. We live near Dallas, Texas. In my free time, I enjoy lifting with the guys, hitting the trail for a run or mountain bike ride, hiking with my family, reading, and going to the movies. For a more detailed and raw version of my biography click on my Epitaph.
